100 Videos live at Bath House Galleries, Huddersfield
For over a year artist duo Rowland’s Leaving (Darren Nixon and Rowland Hill) have published weekly short videos to Instagram. To mark the release of their 100th video, you are invited to experience all 100 in person for the first time.
They don’t have 100 screens but you do.
Rowland’s Leaving invite you to become a collaborator in a mass act of resource sharing by looping one of their videos on your phone. All devices will be sfaely installed for one hour in a gallery space, enabling everyone present to experience a large body of moving image works simulataneously. Viewers will be invited to engage in the experience without the comfort of their devices, inviting a shared consideration of communal experiences online and in person.
The event will also showcase a number of live one minute adaptations of performances from the videos by a number of invited artists.
