Completed during a six week Standpoint Futures residency at Chisenhale Studios, London, ‘Still’ expanded my collaborative approach further. Over the course of my time at Chisenhale I invited 22 guests in all to spend a day or more interrogating a set of painted materials with which I filled the space.  Performance and movement based artists, sculptors and painters, friends with no arts background, strangers who I knew relatively little about, the children of fellow artists, I wanted to look at as a wide a range of responses as possible. 
Initially approaching the sessions with a set of prompts based on ideas of repetition and rehearsal, I quickly realised that once I surrendered control of each day to the invited guest much more exciting things started to happen. Each visitor was invited to shape their session whilst i supported and recorded what happened. What I at first thought was a series of investigations into the objects I had constructed became something much more like a set of portraits of the people who came to spend time with me.
