Rowland’s Leaving is an ongoing collaboration with artist Rowland Hill. With a shared interest in world building, the history of clubbing culture, the tropes associated with performance and other ideas, we spent eighteen months or so making a one minute video each to be shared on Instagram every Friday evening. As the collaboration progressed we invited other collaborators in such as the dancer/choreographers Lydia Swift and Charlie. I have included here a selection from the Rowland’s Leaving videos and, where possible, encourage you to play a number of them at once in different combinations to get a sense of how the videos work together when presented live as part of our 100 Videos live events.
